Runescape 3 is likely to be one of the biggest updates in Runescape history. Jagex, the company behind RuneScape, have been running a closed beta for a while now and if you want to get in, there is still time.
If you haven't yet applied for a key or would simply like more information about what's going on, you should take a look at the Runescape 3 beta wiki . It contains up-to-date information about what's new, tips and tricks to improve your gameplay experience, as well as release dates for future updates.
The great thing about RuneScape is that it never gets boring. New quests, items and game modes are added every year.
In addition to having a laugh with your friends, you can now also play competitively. The new Clan Cup will start on August 9/10th and teams from all over the world compete for a prize pool of $25,000. Register as a team now at the official Clan Cup website to secure your place in this year's tournament.
You may know RuneScape from various Let's Play videos on YouTube or Twitch, but did you know that there are also some awesome Runescape streamers? These guys not only play the game for their viewers, they're actively involved in their community and provide invaluable tips and tricks for new players. If you're just starting out, these streamers are definitely worth checking out:
- Zezima is probably one of the most well-known RuneScape players. With over 10 years of experience he has a lot to share with his viewers. He also organises larger in-game events for his community and is always looking for new recruits. Check out Zezima's Twitch channel to see him in action.
- IronTF is an American streamer who has been playing RuneScape since 2011. His Twitch channel is full of useful tips for all levels and he broadcasts five days a week (including some weekends). Whether you're looking to level up your account or trying to earn some money, IronTF is always worth a visit.
- Transparentt is one of the few streamers who rarely show themselves on camera (which makes him even more awesome in our book). Most of his broadcasts are guided tours of different Skilling spots or he plays RuneScape on his mobile phone. If you want to play like him, make sure to check out his Facebook page where he regularly posts updates on his activities in the game.
